Summary

Major and Minor baseball registration fee. Discount will be applied at end of registration if registering multiple players in the Major/Minors baseball division. Minor players include athletes currently enrolled (2024-25 school year) in 3rd and 4th grade. Major players include athletes currently enrolled (2024-25 school year) in 5th and 6th grades. All requests to play up to next level are at the discretion of the WLL Board of Directors and will be handled on an individual basis.

Goals and Guiding Principles

Create a fun, safe, and competitive environment for the youth of Winterset to play baseball.
Develop the qualities of citizenship, discipline, character, and teamwork among the players.
Promote having fun through sportsmanship, competitiveness and achieving personal goals.
Promote the development of baseball and softball skills.
The Winterset Little League personnel, parents, and all participants share the responsibility of making the Winterset Little League a safe and wholesome activity.
Each child who wishes to play ball should be entitled to do so regardless of skill, gender, or financial circumstances.
Create long-term community involvement.

Waivers

WLL Consent and Release

Waiver Summary Text:

I consent to my child(ren) participating in Winterset Little League. I fully understand the insurance requirements and release the Winterset Little League and the City of Winterset of liability from injury beyond the extent of the insurance. I recognize that certain risks are associated with entering onto and using the facilities located at any Property. I assume full responsibility for any and all personal bodily injury or illness, including but not limited to, any illness or complication associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, property damage or theft, to myself and all others claiming by or through me. I also release and discharge Winterset Little League, the City of Winterset, Iowa, or any representatives, agents, employees or other third parties, for injury, illness, loss or damage associated with the access and use of any said facilities mentioned above, regardless of fault, whether myself, others claiming by or through me or any of the above mentioned entities.

I consent to the use of photographs, voice recordings, or video taken during the games and events associated with Winterset Little League in any manner to help promote the League activities as determined in the sole discretion of the Little League. Such use could include publications, media releases, announcements, electronic or otherwise, and on the league website or social media pages. I understand that neither I nor my child will receive any compensation if such image appears in any of the manners listed above or any other manner that the league deems appropriate. I agree such image is the property of Winterset Little League.

The name of your child(ren) for team rosters and/or statistics will be displayed as FIRST NAME and First Initial of LAST NAME.
